Jade and Jana are looking forward to serving God in Slovakia, where they have long felt a calling.
Jana is from a small village in Slovakia and Jade is from the USA. In 1999, Jade first visited Slovakia during a study abroad semester with Covenant College. A few years later, he met Jana through mutual missionary friends when she was working in Tennessee for a summer.
After marrying in 2005, they spent many years in America, but continued to have a burden to see God’s work done in Central Europe. Through prayer, they both felt a strong sense that God was inviting them to pursue ministry work in Slovakia.
So in 2019, they both moved to Europe with faith that God would open the right door. Soon after, they connected with Trans World Radio (TWR) and related to the vision of spreading the message of hope across cultures.
They are now appointed with TWR to use their specific giftings: Jade will write and edit to share how God is transforming people through media, and Jana will help coordinate ministry programs in Central and Eastern Europe.
With their knowledge of the Slovak language and culture, they’re excited to plug into the community. They also plan to open their home and use Jade’s musical and artistic talents to connect with locals. By building relationships, they want to share the story of the Living God in a lost world.
