Sterling first arrived on Guam at age 21 (2004) on a short-term assignment with Trans World Radio (TWR) on recommendation of his pastor, Curt Lehman. Sterling found he loved using his mechanical gifts to reach Asia with the gospel so much, he would return and serve on Guam for the next ten years (see video). Sterling's heart for hands-on discipleship grew from the youth ministry he lead at his local church on Guam from 2008-2014. In 2015, the Lord opened the door to attend Seminary. Sterling left Guam and became a TWR Stewardship Director/Donor Event Specialist in Cary, NC. While attending Seminary, Sterling worked directly with beloved TWR ministry partners and planned and hosted TWR events around the United States. In 2018, Every Man A Warrior (EMAW) became a ministry of TWR. Watching from a distance, Sterling saw this global men's ministry (EMAW) was growing a rate that was truly of the Lord! Globally men's lives were being transformed and they were in turn making disciples. In February 2020, Sterling joined EMAW as a Representative and became the Men's Ministry Deputy. Sterling loves seeing men's heart grow in love and submission the the gospel of Christ.
